What age groups do you serve?
We welcome children of all ages in our programs and activities. Teenagers and adults are encouraged to volunteer and become role models for younger participants. Our Early Childhood Program is for school age children ages 4-17.
What makes your school unique?
We combine faith-based values with outdoor, nature-focused education. Our programs offer hands-on learning opportunities through activities like horseback riding, farming, animal care, and fishing, fostering a strong connection with nature and community.
Daily Life and Activities
What should my child wear each day?
Children should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing they don’t mind getting dirty, as most activities take place outdoors. Closed-toe shoes or boots are required for safety.
Do you provide meals or snacks?
Meals are not provided, so we recommend packing lunch and snacks in a labeled bag, along with a water bottle to keep your child hydrated throughout the day. However, on specific scheduled days, we incorporate snack-making or cooking into our curriculum or activities, giving children a fun, hands-on experience with food preparation that they can eat & enjoy.
Is there an academic component to your programs?
At Lewis Meadows, we believe early childhood development thrives in a setting that nurtures the whole child—mind, body, and soul. While we don’t focus on traditional academics, our faith-based principles, nature-inspired learning, and child-led discovery create a strong foundation for lifelong growth. Through hands-on experiences, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving, children gain essential skills like independence, compassion, and resilience.

Depending on the program, your child will engage in activities such as:

Are pony rides available?
Yes, pony rides are offered as part of our activities and are supervised by experienced staff to ensure safety.

Programs and Enrollment
What programs do you offer?
Our programs include early childhood development program/alternative schooling, seasonal camps, day programs, horseback riding lessons, petting zoo activities, and specialized skills workshops like farming and crafts.
Are your programs faith-based?
Yes, faith is an integral part of our programs. Bible studies and values-based lessons are woven into daily activities, however we accept all enrollments regardless of beliefs and or religion.
How do I register my child for a program?
Registration is available on our website. If you need assistance, feel free to contact us by phone or email.
What forms of payment do you accept, and when is payment due?
We accept Venmo, CashApp, and cash as payment methods. Payment can be made for the entire month in advance, by the week, or however you’re most comfortable. However, all payments are due by the first day of participation in our programs.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 10 days prior to the start of the program to qualify for a refund or credit.
Animal Care and Boarding
Do you offer animal boarding?
Yes, we provide boarding for farm animals and horses. Our equine boarding includes daily feeding and care.
Can my child help care for the animals?
Absolutely! Many of our programs focus on teaching children how to care for animals, including feeding, cleaning, and training.
Volunteering
Can anyone volunteer?
Any teens and adults are welcome to volunteer! This is a great way to give back to the community while gaining experience and being a role model for children.
What do volunteers do?
Volunteers assist with organizing activities, supervising children, caring for animals, and helping with farm and facility maintenance.
Is volunteering a good summer opportunity for teens?
Absolutely! Volunteering at Lewis Meadows is the perfect way for teens to get outdoors, develop leadership skills, and give back to the community while staying off screens and out of trouble.
Policies and Safety
Are the activities safe for my child?
Yes, safety is our top priority. All activities are supervised by trained staff, and we maintain a low staff-to-child ratio to ensure personalized attention.
What happens during inclement weather?
Most programs will continue unless conditions are unsafe. In the event of severe weather, we’ll move activities indoors or reschedule as needed.
What should my child bring each day?
Your child should bring:
